When I study, I have a few different methods that I like to use. I usually either rewrite and reorganize my notes, or create a study guide/outline of the chapter. When I rewrite my notes, I take my time to make them incredibly neat so I can focus on what I'm writing. I often quiz myself using my study guide and if there are certain concepts or definitions I keep getting wrong, I'll make index cards. I also love using highlighters to group things together and listening to music quietly while studying.
There are many different study practices that students use. Typically, I use the index card method. The index card method allows me to learn better. It helps me remember a multitude of things, such as vocabulary words. When I use the index card method I usually write each card in a different color ink. Sometimes when I don't have index cards, I use the website "quizlet." Quizlet is a website on line that is basically an index card yet on the computer. Quizlet also gives you the option to put the words in sentences and allows me to play a multitude of games with the subject that I'm studying.
Some of my best practice study would start of with being in a quiet environment. Then i would go through the notes i take down in class. I usually write down what i think is important or what i feel i wouldn't remember later on. I would usually read my notes over and over until i feel i was prepared for whatever i was studying for.If not i would write down what i'm not comfortable with until i remember.
The best way I study is by listening to music while I work because it keeps me focused on what's in front of me and what's going on around me. Then I review all of the important notes I've taken down to help me better understand the assignments that I received. I also highlight relevant content for any future tests or to get a better understanding of what I am doing.
Honestly the best way to study is actually putting attention in classes and taking notes. Notes helps your brain to memorize better, and to study later. The best way to study is early in the morning and without any distractions around you, that includes phones, television, music, and any any other kind of distraction. Also don't start studying the day before or hours before the exam, it can make you doubt of the knowledge you have and make you nervous. Last but no least a little prayer could come handy in times of crisis like the ones before an exam.
I never really take time to study because I just find myself remembering the material, but when the material is something that I do not understand I take a little time out to just sit down and go over what I don't know. The best way for me to study is just being by myself where I can really focus without any distractions. Sometimes I will listen to music because it allows me to be more relaxed and stops me from being overwhelmed by what I am studying. So just a nice quiet environment where I can really be in my zone. Sometimes studying with my peers can also help as long as everyone is focused because I can get distracted pretty easy, and that is why I would prefer to do a nice quiet session with just myself.
One of my best study practices is when I study I play classical music. I love music so much that without it, it seems so weird. What I would start off with is Mozart, his melodies and positive vibe chirps me up. Then I listen to more serious composers like Bach or Brahms. Then I transition to sweet music and warm your heart like Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky. Then to bring it home more complex composers like Beethoven and Mendelssohn to keep me motivated.
Some of my best tips for study practices are going to find quiet places like the library or into an empty room to research topics away from all distractions. Distractions like noisy roommates, or other loud peers in the resident hall or loud family members.
Some of my best studying practices include listening to music, being alone, being in a peaceful place, and using different study methods. When I am studying, I like to be at peace; so for the most part I like to be in a place where there are no distractions. Once this condition met I like to play music. The music that I like to listen to while studying is usually jazz or rnb. I typically listen to Sade and Erykah Badu. Besides music, what heavily plays into my studying are the methods I use. Depending on the class I have different methods from Quizlet to index cards. While I do use various methods my favorite way to study is but making an effective study guide and studying the specific material on it. Overall, the way I like to study is in peace and using the most effective method for that specific class.
My best study practices are many. One of them is to memorize what has been learned in class. Take notes of the most important of a class. Another of the study practices I do is look for references on the internet about the subject. I also discuss with another classmate about his knowledge of the subject and I learn what he knows and I do not. It is very important to ask a teacher if I have any doubts about an issue because they are the best references we have students.
I'm not the best at studying but one thing that helps is writing & hearing the information. It's a form of memorization. It is the best way too me. Other ways I use are flash cards. They help with memorization as well just a different way.
