Throughout my college experience, I hope to learn as much as I can both inside and outside of my field. I feel like having a general understanding on various topics would make getting and keeping a job a lot easier, as the world is always changing. I would like to improve my time management skills and figure out how to effectively balance my school work and job. I hope to obtain valuable life skills so that I can be successful in life whether it is with my job or just in general.
Throughout my college experience at Kean University, I hope to gain memories that will last a lifetime. I hope to meet various people and learn about where they are from and what they are majoring in. Today was my first day at college and I have learned that people are from all over the world. Not only do I hope to just meet new people, in and out of the classroom, but I hope to gain strong friendships that will last longer than just the four years I am at college.
Having a complete college experience doesn't just mean getting a proper education and a degree, for me college is the next place where you get to complete building your personality, and really being yourself. I hope to learn in college form all the choices I'll make, whether they're good or bad, and also to deal with the difficulties that will present while my time in college. All this with the final end of being a productive member of society.
All through my college life, I hope to gain the experience to talk more freely and openly without feeling so awkward talking to others. Not only that but I hope to gain strong friendships with those who are in my major and my classes. Today was an excellent experience for me, because I got to learn about others and create new friends I can trust. After all this I hope to gain the general knowledge to become a responsible and fearless adult.
People often expressed to me that entering college/ university is the first time ever you'll be fully exposed to the real world. In college I plan to learn the certain skills needed to succeed in this world and to learn how to adopt to any changes life throws at me. I also hope to gain endless friendships with my peers which will never end. One last thing is I hope to achieve in college is to learn how to fully take care of myself. For 18 years of my life, I've lived under my mothers roof and now I have to opportunity to leave the nest. The central theme is to become a better worker, student, and overall person.
Other than receiving an education I hope to gain a vast understanding of communication and interpersonal skills. I feel that you meet so many students from classes that you could learn so many things from and professors as well because they each have different teaching methods. With each new person that I meet I hope to gain certain experiences that I could later apply to my adult life such as the work field or life in general. Also, the more people you meet and interact with the easier it will get to be able to adapt and adjust to working with them.
I have always been a very outgoing person, and it has made every experience a little bit easier for me personally. I intend to gain as much as I can from this university and add it to my list of life experiences. There is so much that a person can do with the time that they are given, and I personally want to be very productive while I have the time. I also want to be able to get a set group of people that will support me and who have similar goals as I do. My mother and father always told me to surround myself with people who will lift me up and not bring me down. So all in all I want to gain experience and friendship.
Besides an education, what I hope to gain from Kean is a deeper understanding of myself, a greater knowledge of various cultures, friendships that will last a lifetime, as well as long-lasting memories. Coming from an "all guys" school that wasn't too diverse, I think that this school will give me the opportunity to meet people from different walks of life. I feel that having knowledge not only in your studies but about people is key to success. Finally, what I also hope to gain are the skills to live on my own while still being productive and effective.
Coming out of college, not only do I want to come out with an education, I hope to come out with people skills. I was always the quiet kid growing up and didn't really have many true friends. Hopefully coming out of college I have created strong relationships with people. Having many friends coming out of college is a good perk to have in the real world, knowing more people means to have more knowledge in other fields. I also hope to be able to take on any challenge life may give me. In other words, I would like to be able to build strong relationships and gain problem solving skills.
Other than going to college for an education, I hope to gain forever lasting memories, friends and communication skills. These things will be the gains and outcome for living on Kean campus. Changing my community and being able to meet new people everyday will be easy for me because I'm a social and open minded person. College is supposed to be the time of your life and i want to embrace the moment while I am here.
Throughout my college career I want to gain more than an education. I want to gain forever friendships. Not just friends you have just because but the friends you consider family. Also I want to gain independence. This is my first time being alone and it requires a lot of responsibilities that I have to become accustom too. This university is going to prepare me for life skills that are necessary for this new chapter of my life.
Besides an education,I hope to gain professionalism in what I want to do, I need to learn very well about my career and what I need to be a good architect. I would also like to learn to be a better person with others. I want to learn from others how to work as a team and how to be successful in life being an architect and a great person who likes to learn and work, I would like to know in depth what it is to have an education at university level because in high school it is very different and that makes me feel challenged.
Besides an education I hope to gain the necessary fundamentals needed in order to properly network, allowing me to further pursue my career goals of becoming an Biomedical Engineer. Also how to break out of my shell because I can be antisocial at times and its not intentionally because I am a very nice person when you actually get to know me. However, upon the initial interaction with others I can come across as mean or very conservative.
Besides gaining an education from being at Kean University, I would like to gain more knowledge about myself as a person who is away at home from home for the first time. As well as creating and building friendships with peers and faculty members on both a personal and professional level. In addition I hope to gain more knowledge about computer science as a major. Also I plan on becoming better at coding more things besides websites.
If I were to want to gain anything besides my education of course I'd want to discover who I truly am deep down. I would like to establish friendships that will last a lifetime with both my classmates and professors.Lastly I'd like to perfect my major of Architecture, following my professors insight to become the best I can be. Education is the most important thing at college, fun is second but balancing both is the tricky part, with that being said I hope to be able to manage both and be successful.
